Our current hut has served us—and the wider community—as a vital hub for Scouting activities and local events. But its deteriorating condition makes it unsustainable in the long term.

- Planning permission and essential surveys
- Safe demolition of the current structure
- Construction of a modern, sustainable Scout Hut
- Ongoing maintenance
Why It Matters

The Scout Hut is our launchpad. It’s where we meet, learn, laugh, and plan our adventures—from wild hikes to community clean-ups. Without a safe, suitable space, we simply can’t offer the same opportunities to future generations.
Who We Are
We are 1st Helmsley Scouts, proud to serve young people aged 6 to 18 through Beavers, Cubs, Scouts, and Explorers. We’re part of the Ryedale District in North Yorkshire and welcome all children in a safe, inclusive, and adventurous environment.
