Confidence Building: Successfully completing an orienteering course boosts self-confidence and self-esteem, fostering a sense of achievement and resilience.

Teamwork and Communication: Many orienteering events involve teamwork, promoting cooperation and effective communication among participants.

Connection with Nature: Orienteering often takes place in natural environments, fostering a deep appreciation for nature and environmental stewardship.

Life Skills: The skills acquired in orienteering, such as map reading and decision-making, are transferable to various aspects of life, promoting lifelong learning and personal development.

We are immensely grateful to Duncombe Park for graciously allowing us to utilise their stunning grounds as the backdrop for our adventure-filled day. 🌳 Their scenic landscapes provided the perfect setting for our young adventurers to put their newfound skills to the test.

A special thank you also goes out to all the parents and leaders who volunteered their time and support, ensuring that today’s event was a resounding success. Your dedication and commitment to our youth are truly appreciated, and it’s thanks to your efforts that days like these are made possible.

From mastering compass readings to conquering challenging terrains, today was not just about orienteering—it was about empowering our youth with the confidence to navigate through life’s adventures. 🌟
