Today’s children have computer games, television shows and mobile phones to distract them, sadly some children end up lying in the house all day instead of learning new skills and exploring the outdoors.
Jack, who joined 1st Helmsley Beavers when he was six, has attained all 22 activity badges, for showing his skills in everything from tying his shoe laces to building dens and rafts. Jack has also got his six challenge badges and his Bronze Chief Scout Award.
It’s not an easy task to achieve all 22 activity badges.
This is an amazing achievement and takes a lot of commitment, time and hard work.
Beaver Scouts is all about making memories, friends and learning skills for life. We try and offer things they don’t get a chance to do at school or at home.
We are all extremely proud of Jack’s achievement. Jack will be moving up to Cubs in September.
